Hot Rice
Equipment: old pot lid and a ball. If inside, use a soft bean bag.
Tell your Rally members the boundaries of the playing area. Give one person the pot lid to hold. They use it as a shield to stop the ball hitting them. The rest of the members are fielding the ball and trying to hit the member with the ‘shield’. No-one can run with the ball – it must be thrown from where it is picked up.
Members can move anywhere within the boundaries set. You can throw directly at the shield holder or throw it around to others fielders until someone gets a clearer shot at the shield holder.
Once hit, they drop the lid immediately and join the fielders. The one who scored the hit picks up the shield. No-one can throw the ball again until the shield is picked up.
