MEMORY VERSE IDEA
Make up a set of “Memory cards”. These can be reused for memory verses. You need 2 large thin cards A2 size and 1 A2 size firm paper. Write the memory verse on the firm paper. Cut the 2 thin cards into 3 lengthwise. Then cut each lenth into 5 equal pieces. Divide into 2 sets. On 1 set, draw the numbers 1-15. On the other set draw, or cut and glue, pictures. You need 2 each of 7 pictures. Then 1 extra picture. Glue these on the cards. Place together a picture and a number with the number on the top and both facing up at you. Staple together at the top. Do this with each picture and number in a random order. Now bluetack each set onto the paper so they cover the memory verse.
To play:
Choose a Rally member to pick 2 numbers. Lift those numbers to expose the pictures underneath. Repeat this until 2 identical pictures appear. Then remove those to show part of the memory verse. When all picture sets have been correctly found and removed, say the verse together. Keep the numbers and picture set intact and use again at a laterdate for another memory verse. Occasionally change the pictures or rearrange the order by pulling some apart and re-stapling in another order. These can also be used on blackboard or whiteboard. Always have equipment on hand…. This doesn’t need to be expensive. Add whatever works for your Rally, and increase the number of balls etc if you have a larger Rally.
Here are some suggestions.
